Welcome to the website of Joyce Taylor. I paint mainly in oils and watercolour. My work is inspired by the sea, especially the coastal villages of north-east Scotland and the Mediterranean coast of France. My paintings hang in public and corporate collections in the UK and France and in private collections worldwide.


As a painter, secondary teacher of Art & Design and adult education tutor I feel I have made a serious commitment to Art. Art is central to my life and essential to my well being. When I am not teaching others i am working in my studio.

My philosophy is probably better expressed with a paintbrush rather than in words.
